So Saturday night's shindig started out as an email with Eric:
me: So, it'll be your first Saturday night not working at _____! You guys wanna come over and have a drink to celebrate?
Eric: Sure, we'll make some food, too.
me: Cool... Oh, T&D wanted to know what's up tonight so they might come by...
And it quickly spiraled into having almost 10 people hanging out in my living room, celebrating any number of different events.
Number one was the near completion of my living room redecoration. Still need to hang things on one wall but the rest is pretty ok and we found out it's great for entertaining!
This is my favorite part. See the boxes on the lower left? That's The Stash. (It doesn't look like much but believe me, everything is squished.) And all my needles are on the shelf next to it, with a box of pretty yarn under that, just to look at (and pet.) The books are all right there and the magazines in magazine BOXes! Who DOES that? Well I sure do, now. It rocks...
This is the "entertaining" space and the "sitting on the sofa in my green robe watching a movie and knitting" space. The big, blank wall there is what still needs some attention.
You can fit all kinds of people in there and if you move the chair that's in the bottom left, it opens it up even more.

These are all of the plants on the end of my desk, in front of the big front windows. Ignore all the other stuff on the desk. It'll get cleaned up soon... (shuttup, it will)
Number two, (and the original reason to hang out,) was Eric's current unemployment from a club he's been working at every Saturday night for the last two years. Before that, I worked at that same club for almost the same amount of time and it was soooooo good to be OUT of there so we totally had to celebrate. No more insane boss! Yay! (I know he doesn't look very happy but just give him a few more Saturday nights and the ability to work at even better clubs and he'll perk RIGHT up.)Aaaaaaaaaaand Number three, which became the most obvious reason considering how many pictures there were of him and how he was at the center of everyone's attention, was S&G's new dog:
His name was Monkey but they liked the idea of "Colonel" something, and then Fredrick was it but she kept calling him Franklin and then today she called him Monk in her IM but he might be called Hoover because of everything that goes in his mouth and... *inhaaaaaaaaaale*

I'll let you know what they decide as soon as we know.
